When researching and study of the bible ; foremost in mind is verse 2 Peter 1:20
“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” Which leaves us with the question: How do we interpret it? The Holy Word of God – must be studied to discover the many truths and layers in any specific version. 2 Tim 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” The bible in itself is only a version of God's word not the actual word of God as it states on every cover of every bible. We study to rightly divide the word of God with the precision of a surgeon for an accurate in depth understanding. The words “rightly dividing” are translated from only one Greek word – (orthotomeō). The Strong's definition II is - “to make straight and smooth, to handle aright, to teach the truth directly and correctly”. The root words (orthos) meaning – (straight or erect) and (tomos) meaning – (sharp) imply this precision and accuracy when studying the word. The King James version is preferred because most study tools like lexicons and concordances are based on this version using the Greek and Aramaic to get a better understanding of what is written. If we can't interpret the bible as private then we must let it interpret itself in the verse, context and how the same word is used in other scriptures letting the bible speak for itself. The word “private” in 2 Peter 1:20 is the Greek word (idios) and is defined according to the Strong's concordance as: “pertaining to one's self, one's own, belonging to one's self”. In this book is an attempt to adhere to this instruction without bias or self letting the bible interpret itself.
The main purpose of this endeavor is to better understand the book of Revelations as pertaining to the New Birth - being born again of holy spirit, the full time of the gentiles, the gathering of saints or the rapture, to unveil the timing and sequence of events of Revelations Chapters 5-20 and put into perspective Revelations Chapter 12. We will also analyze the great signs spoken of in versus 1 and 2 of chapter 12 and the fulfillment thereof revealing the Mystery.
Many theories and opinions on the book of Revelations exist and no attempt to refute these opposing beliefs will be engaged. No doubt some conclusions written here will be fiercely contested and persecuted but that is to expected as there are so many varying opinions and doctrines of the Christian faith. Whether the rapture is a pre-trib, post-trib or no-trib it is not the focus of this book to answer that question. The question of relevance is the time line and period of Jacob's trouble which is commonly referred to the tribulation period; when will it begin, what are the signs it has begun; can we know if it has begun and when does it end? As believers in Jesus Christ what can we expect before the rapture and can we accept what the bible is telling us without preconceived bias or religious doctrine interfering or opposing what the bible states? With so many varying opinions confusion is rampant causing division and angst if someone does not agree with our own beliefs. So with this heart and attitude of Paul the apostle lets begin. As Paul states Philippians 1:18 “What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.” Praise the Lord!
This book is in no way claiming to have a perfect understanding or stating providence of truth yet inspired nonetheless with a heart of understanding and openness to what God is revealing to us in his word. With that being said let us immerse ourselves in the scripture to gain a better understanding believing God will bless us as we meditate and study the scriptures.
Sequential Overview - Book of Revelations Chapters 1-20
Misunderstood and controversial is the book of Revelations. The title derived from the Greek word apokalypsis. The meaning of the word apocalypse in our modern day has become a synonym of the word revelation when referring to the book of Revelations which is unfortunate. The definition of the word apocalypse according to the Oxford dictionary: “The complete final destruction of the world, as described in the biblical book of Revelation.” An accurate description of the events in the biblical record but not the same meaning of the Greek word (apokalypsis). The Strong concordance defines the word as: “disclosure—appearing, coming, lighten, manifestation, be revealed, revelation.” Thus: the book of revelations is an unveiling of things hidden. As the seven seals are broken the mystery is revealed to the whole world the majesty and providence of the one true God.
The book begins with this very statement. Rev 1:1a “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass;...”. The book of Revelation is God revealing Jesus Christ and the body of Christ to the world because as it is written: “every knee shall bow”. We are given the opportunity to hear and know what God's plan is for earth and its inhabitants and given for the purpose to inform his servants. Many churches discourage even reading the book fearing that it cannot be understood or will cause controversy. God's word is controversial to many but it is written so we may know and understand God's plan with the intent on blessing us, his servants.
Rev 1: 3 “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”
This verse does not discourage the reading and study but infers just the opposite. For the purpose of this book a focus on chapters 5-20 will only be discussed in detail being relevant in our day and the late hour in which we live.
There are many signs and wonders of the last 70 years which point to the end of this age. To name them all would be an entirely different book. A few major prophecies which have been fulfilled: the rebirth of the nation of Israel, the six day war in 1967 when Jerusalem Golan Heights and the Gaza strip were reclaimed for the Jewish people, the blood moons of 2016-2018, the declaration by President Donald J. Trump recognizing Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel and in the minds of many the extraordinary sign in the heavens September 23rd 2017 prophecy in Revelations 12:1 which will be discussed in a later chapter.
In verse seven of Revelations the proof and purpose of the book is again reiterated. Rev 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” The truth will be manifested to the world as every eye shall see him. Chapters 2 and 3 are written to the seven churches of God. Chapter 1 being an introduction or preface of the entire book. There are seven angels which represent these churches. The word Church or churches in this case is from the Greek word (ekklēsía) meaning a gathering of people in this instance referring to the believers or servants in Christ. Interestingly enough all of these places mentioned where the churches are located still exist in modern day Turkey yet none of these cities mentioned have the same names today.: Selçuk - Ephesus,, Ismir – Smyrna, Ahkisar – Thyatira, Sart – Sardis, Alasehir - Philadelphia, and Bergama - Pergamon which is the place identified as “the seat of Satan” in Rev 2:13. Interestingly they are confronted for holding the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac and casting a stumbling block before the children of Israel which today is still an accurate description of modern day Turkey's current influence and antagonism towards Israel. Surprisingly five cities in the United states have assumed the names. Ephesus Georgia, Smyrna Georgia, Thyatira Mississippi, Sardis Mississippi, Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The bible is speaking specifically of the churches in the cities of Turkey at that time but one must not excluded these American cities as such in a broader sense as almost every Christian denomination on earth have a church in at least one of these cities. There are still believers in the places formally known by these names in the days of John the scribe of Revelations but under persecution and in hiding most assuredly from the modern day Islamic caliphate's existence in Turkey.
Chapter 4 is an introduction to the events and tribulation leading up to the “Day of the Lord” and the beginning of John's vision concerning those events. This day literally occurs at the end of Anti-Christ rule when Jesus returns to destroy them who destroy the earth. Rev. 11:18 is the beginning of the Anti-Christ 42 months of rule. “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” Rev 19:11 is the end of Anti-Christ rule followed by the imprisonment of the devil and his angels before the 1000 years of God' kingdom on earth.
Rev 19:11 “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” The return of Christ is mentioned in previous chapters of Revelations but this verse describes the physical appearance of the Lord's return chronologically.
Revelations chapter 5 is a prelude to the seven seals being opened and declaration of Jesus Christ the lamb of God as the only one who is worthy to open the seals introducing the “beginning of sorrows” mentioned in Math 24:8 and Mark 13:8.
Revelations chapter 5 is an introduction to the opening of the 7 seals of Revelations chapter 6.
Chapter 6 is the opening of the first 6 seals. with the 6th seal of Rev 6:12,13 and Rev 12:3,4 being the starting point of the wrath of the lamb.
Rev 6:17 “For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?.”
Chapter 7 is the time period after the 6th seal is opened until the 7th trumpet sounds. We can make this conclusion on how Chapter 7 begins. Rev 7:1 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.” Clearly stating after the 6th seal is opened “...after these things...”. But in verse 9 the time line shifts from a pre-rapture to post rapture events as it does in other areas overlapping with other chapters. Now we have some chronology as to events of Revelation starting to unfold with more on the 6th seal in a following chapter. Chapter 7 also established of a set of rules during this transition from the opening of the 6th and 7th seals documented in this verse:
Rev 7:3 “Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”
Rev 7:9 begins a foretelling of events which have not occurred in the chronology of events about to unfold revealing who the 12 tribes are and the soon to be reunion of the raptured believers with Jesus Christ the lamb in the millennial kingdom.
Rev 7:17 “For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” We know the 144,000 are not the same people mentioned in Rev 7:9 because it clearly states “...which no man could number...”
“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;”.
It would be quite silly after specifically numbering the twelve tribes at 144,00 to confuse the people of verse 9 as the same. Verse 9 is a foretelling of the future events after the rapture of the Great Tribulation.
Rev 7:9 “And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
Were beginning to see the chronology of events and how the chapters overlay the events as well with the whole time of the Great Tribulation and can conclude the Day of the Lord is a figure of speech consisting of more than just one day.
Chapter 8 begins with the 7th seal opened which heralds the angels with their 7 trumpets. Conclusively we can determine the seals are not the same events as the 7 trumpets but rather follow in chronology of the 7 seals. Chapter 8 is also an introduction to the last 3 trumpets and heralds a dire warning of future events at this point in the last verse.
Rev 8:13 “ And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!”
Chapter 9 and 10 describe the events of the 5th and 6th trumpet - terrifying indeed. In Chapter 10 a foretelling of the 7th trumpet event stated in Rev 10:7. The events in chapter 10 are a pause of such speaking of the little book and John eating it tasting sweet yet bitter in his stomach. Much like the prophecy in Revelations a bitter sweet truth. We will not go into much detail of this record with the exception of verse 7 which will be covered in a following chapter.
Chapter 11 is a transition in the Great Tribulation time frame to the 42 month rule of Anti-Christ as we will study this in depth as well. Rev 11:18 declaring the beginning of the Anti-Christ rule which is detailed in chapters 13-19 in the book of Revelations. Chapter 12 is a summary of the events starting with the Rev 12 sign of Sept 23rd 2017, the rapture Rev. 12:5 and then the 42 month period of the Anti-Christ. Chapters 13-19 are the period describing the Bowl judgments during the 42 months of Anti-Christ rule with chapter 20 being an introduction to the millennial kingdom on earth.
The First 5 Seals and Tribulation
The word “tribulation” is often cause of much confusion when reading bible prophecy concerning the last days. Other terms used describing the “day of the Lord” are the end of the age, the end of the world, the time of Jacob's trouble, the tribulation period consisting of 7 years, the beginning of sorrows, the last days and the great tribulation.
We must make a crucial distinction about the tribulation of the saints and the “Great Tribulation” of the last days.
John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world .”
This verse clearly states the saints must endure tribulation. As it was in the first century church born-again believers in Jesus Christ will suffer hardships. A reality we must except as it is written in the word of God. There are many examples as this one for the saints in the first century.
Acts 14:22 “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
The life of a believer is fraught with obstacles as the Devil would prefer to see us dead because it is us who prevent him from doing his will fully upon the earth.
A saint in biblical context is any born-again believer in Jesus Christ with the holy spirit from the new birth. The Greek word for saint in the new testament is (hagios) meaning “holy”. A saint according to biblical usage is not a papacy designation given to only a select few after they die. If you confess the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead you are a saint.
Having established that truth we must endure tribulation at times in our lives. Some more than others. A reality we cannot escape. Confusing the “Great Tribulation” with the tribulation we endure in everyday life as exampled in Acts 14:22 is a common mistake concerning the understanding of prophecy. The documentation of the “Great Tribulation” beginning is the same time as the day of the Lord.
The 7 seals begin with the four horsemen of Revelation chapter 6.
Rev. 6:8 “And power was given unto them [the Four Horsemen] over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”
The first seal speaks of a white horse. The representation of a conquerer which could be the beginning of a war in the last days. The identification of this horsemen could be a prophecy of Alexander the Great or a yet to be ruler in the last days but neither possibility is likely because the bible actually identifies the horsemen which we will reveal momentarily. The second seal represents taking peace from the earth and the power of conflict and murder. Rev 6:4 “And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.” This describes our current world today. Chaos, murder, persecution rampant on at least one fourth of the planet. The third horseman representing the scales of judgment with a correlation to the zodiac in constellation Libra. Rev 6:5 “And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.” The fourth horseman represents death as clearly stated. Rev 6:7 “And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.” The four horsemen describe the events of our current day on one fourth of the planet. The parallels of the four horsemen in our day is hard to refute.
Who are these horsemen? We don't need to guess because the scripture clearly identifies them in the book of Zechariah and paralleled in Ezekiel and Rev 7:1
Zech. 6: 1-5 “And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. 2 In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; 3 And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. 4 Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
5 And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.” The four horsemen of Revelations are the four spirits of heaven who bring judgment on the unrighteous. Rev 7:1 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.” Ezekiel :14:21 “For thus saith the Lord God; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast? 22 Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it. 23 And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord God.” The four judgments in Ezekiel also parallel the four horsemen in Zechariah and Revelations but not the same events. It is also interesting to note these judgments bring comfort to the righteous and for believers in the days of the four horsemen we can conclude the same and will not suffer their wrath. Lets study the events in Mathew 24 concerning the last days and the four horsemen. Math 24:3 “ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Math 24:5-7 “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows” Verse seven is a parallel verse of Rev 6:7, 8. “And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.” In the chronology of events in Revelations this is the “beginning of sorrows” when the first 4 seals are opened. As Jesus is speaking recorded in Math 24 in verse 6 he proclaims “...but the end is not yet...” The “Great Tribulation” has not begun yet. We can conclude thus: the “Great Tribulation” begins after the 4th horseman. The first 4 horseman of the 7 seals can be an overview of the history in our current day before the end begins which can be referred to as “birth pains”. Verse 14 of Mathew makes a clear distinction. We must also consider the 7 seals being the history of the church age from the day of Pentecost until the rapture. “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” “and then shall the end come...” after this grace administration the time of the gentiles preaching the gospel over the globe before that great and terrible day of the Lord. Herein do we have another clue as concerning the chronology in the book of Revelations. The day of the Lord occurs after his word is spread all over the world and the four horsemen ride in the grace administration before the “day of the Lord”. Math 24:21 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elects sake those days shall be shortened.” This is a clear reference to the “Great Tribulation” and the 42 months of rule by Anti-Christ the son of perdition or literally Lucifer's begotten son as opposed to God's begotten son. This clarifies the tribulation of the saints. A time beginning at Pentecost and our current day until the “beginning of sorrows” followed by the Great Tribulation until the time of Rapture. Yet as unpopular as it sounds the possibility we must endure a part of the “Great Tribulation” before the rapture is a very likely truth. Verse 22 clearly indicates the days will be shortened for the elect which is a reference to the saints. Another clear indication evidenced with the opening of the 5th seal which is speaking of martyrdom of the saints in Rev 6:9 and the direct mention of these martyrs in Mathew 24:9 “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.” Does this not describe the conditions in the first century and inclusively in our day? The persecution of the church is rampant across the globe with thousands of Christians murdered every year. In the middle east: Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Saudi Arabia among other places, being a Christian is often a death sentence if not in a prison cell. The massacres in the United States in churches across the country; Sutherland Springs Texas Baptist church being the latest during the writing of this book. The persecution of the church continues in our day. Being hard to refute this reality: the 5th seal is opened and there are a finite number of martyrs as well. The rapture of the church will not occur until this number of martyred saints is fulfilled. Rev 6:9 “And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held.” 11 “And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Not a popular conclusion by most biblical scholars or your average believer. So we are beginning to establish a chronology of events leading up to the 5th seal. The first 3 horseman an overview of history form the beginning of sorrows while the 5th seal is an documentation of all the martyrs until the time of rapture with the 4th horseman a prelude of the “Great Tribulation” which is distinctly separated from the tribulation of the saints throughout history. The 5th seal does not seem to fit into the chronological sequence of events of the 7 seals as the martyrdom of the saints began in the 1st century nor does it need to be. The 5th seal is a proclamation the number of martyrs must be fulfilled before opening the 6th seal. Verse 9 in Rev. 6 "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:" The word “alter” is translated from one Greek word which is a combination of 3 maybe 4 different Greek words used only once in scripture and that word in Greek is: (thusiasterion). Lets break down the root words and prefix . (thusia) is the Greek word for sacrifice from the root word (thysia). The Greek word (aster) is star - a luminous meteor or a light as “we are the lights of this world”. The Greek word for (erion) is wool. The word “under” is a combination of 2 Greek word (hupokato) used once translated to the word “under” meaning underneath or at the bottom is also in conjunction with the second half of the Greek word (kato) which is translate (beneath , down) Greek word (hupo) is translated many ways: (among, by, from, with, in, into , under) so the redundancy here is intriguing to say the least. Now the word for “womb” in the bible is the Greek word (gaster). The one letter for womb is ostensibly missing. By adding a "G" before (aster) we get a whole new insight to this multi layered prophecy. Having left out the "G" might have been adhering to a simple grammatical rule and the culture not having a proper grammatical protocol to use the "G" in conjunction with the other 3 Greek words combined here. Or the revelator just could not conceive of the concept of abortion. In those days it was an unimaginable option. In conclusion there is a finite number God has appointed to the martyrs. When the last martyr is slain the 6th seal opens as God has become tiresome of murdering the innocent especially unborn babies. A deeper meaning has credibility here suggesting aborted babies who never received an opportunity to proclaim their witness but still have a testimony; in addition to the brutally sacrificed saints and apostles and the tens of thousands of Christians be-headed and persecuted all over world. A possible re-translation of the 5th seal is as follows: "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar or (beneath with the sacrificed and those in the womb). This is a stretch of theory with the word “wool” having no place in the revised translation but seemed relevant enough to mention and consider. But verse 11 would corroborate the end of the translation with another redundancy. Rev 6:11 " And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled." Wool is white and is used as a description of the Lord or an angels appearance in many scriptures and the verse references two specifically different groups; fellow servants and brethren; the unborn perhaps. The 5th seal is opened. Christians are experiencing brutal persecution in all of the world and the martyrs are almost a daily events now. God has a finite number; a set appointed number and after the last martyr the 6th seal is opened being difficult to justify the unborn not inclusive.
The Sixth Seal
In biblical prophecy the time line of events are often confused. Some believe in a per-tribulation rapture with an understanding that the book of revelations events take place after the rapture. Others believe in a mid-tribulation rapture. Not being concerned with pre-trib or mid-trib rapture as the only question relevant to this study is when does the “Great Tribulation” begin? How do we know for sure it has begun? The official beginning of the “Great Tribulation” can only be speculative recognizing the sign of the times identified with the written word. The question of when the rapture occurs during the tribulation itself distracts from the actual signs and recorded revelations. What we do know is believers will not suffer the wrath of Anti-Christ which is a specific 42 month period including the vials of Rev. chapter 16.
1 Thes. 5:9 “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,...” The context of 1 Thessalonians 5:9 is the wrath to come after the rapture.
Rev. 13:5 ”And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.”
This book will not be so bold as to set dates. What we have in the record of prophecy are specific events which declare the times we live with the sun, moon, earth changes, natural and made made disasters. One specific event which occurs warning the hour is late will be obvious. When the 6th seal is opened we all will know the “Great Tribulation” has begun. This is a cosmic and catastrophic event.
Rev 6:12 “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;”
The stars of heaven falling can only be meteors and figuratively representing the fallen angels. The word “stars” is the Greek word (aster). The meaning is literal but can be figurative as well depicting fallen angels. Obviously all of the stars will not fall because there are trillions of zigaillions of them. This event can only describe a meteor storm wreaking havoc on earth. This could be caused by a large planetary body passing through the earths ecliptic around the sun such as a comet are super size asteroid dragging thousand of smaller objects in its orbit. This would also fit right into the theory of Nibiru but that possibility is not reinforced with scripture. The other possibility is these stars are satellites falling to earth caused by a man made war in space. The record in Rev 6 describes a solar eclipse and blood moon which can be caused by a lunar eclipse, atmospheric variables such as volcanoes or nuclear detonations, earthquakes which will displace every mountain and island, the view of space obstructed and a meteor storm. When these events occur every person on earth will take notice. It will be impossible to ignore. People will run for hills and hide and millions will die. We all will know the “Great Tribulation” has begun. There will be no more doubt as to the lateness of the hour. Other records in scripture speak of this day when the 6th seal is opened. First, chapter 12 of Revelation verse 4.
“And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.” This appears to be the same event as Rev 6:13. In Mathew 24 Jesus mentions the same event. 29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:” Now Mathew 24 has prophecy of the last days but it is not in chronological order. Math. 24:7-14 is speaking of the period before the “Great Tribulation”. Versus 15-22 are events during the 42 month rule of Anti-Christ. Starting at verse 23 the time line reverts back to the time before Anti-Christ. How do we know this? Because Verse 23 and 24 are repeating what was said in verse 4 and 5. In addition , Jesus says exactly that: verse 25 “Behold, I have told you before” Jesus even clarifies his words so they are not misunderstood. He told us before in versus 4 and 5. Then verse 29 in context takes place after the tribulation of those days and parallels the 6 seal in Rev. 6:13. This chapter in Mathew 24 also suggest the time of the “Great Tribulation” starting when the 6th seal is opened. With this in mind prophecy starts fitting more into place chronologically speaking and eliminates many seemingly contradictions in scripture. A distinction must be made between Rev 6:13 and Rev 16:20. These cannot be the same events as some believe because Rev 6:13 states every mountain and island moved out of its place whereas Rev 16:20 states the mountains disappear. This confusion results from people believing John records his vision with different perspectives like he is a multiple personality or something making the 7 seals and the 7 vials of God's wrath being the same events. If this is true; a glaring contradiction occurs in scripture which cannot be explained and destroys the credibility of the whole bible itself. The old testament scripture does not seem to mention events before Anti-Christ rule and there is not much prophecy concerning the 7 seals of Revelations although there are a few references. How do we know this? Col 1:26 “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:” The period of “ the time of the gentiles” or stating in other words; this period of grace after the day of Pentecost until the rapture, was hid from the prophets of old which explains why prophecy of the 7 seals is not mentioned in the old testament with the exception of possibly Joel 2:10. This also explains why most all prophecy in the old testament refers to the times before Christ and after the rapture of the church. No prophecy of this grace administration exist in the old testament yet it is hinted at a few times. Daniel 12:4 is the obvious explanation. As God directs Daniel to seal up the book. This book mentioned in Daniel are the 7 seals of Revelation and the “Great Tribulation” which one must also include the grace administration or “the time of the gentiles”. This leads us to another conclusion of the 7 seals representing the entirety of the church age from the day of Pentecost until the rapture. Having been hid in prophecy until the end of days. Daniel 12:4 “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” Logically, this verse must be direct reference to the 7 seals of Revelations. Jesus instructs us to watch for the signs of the end in Mark chapter 13: 33. “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” This scripture is worth noting what the Lord did not say. He did not say week, month or year but hour, evening, morning, midnight or cock crowing. In Mathew 26:36 he says we will not know the day or hour but says nothing of weeks, months or years. 36 “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” This gives us hope because it reveals a time frame of events after the 6th seal is opened and the possibility to understand when the time is near. What a we watching for? ”The word “watch” is the Greek word (gregerio) meaning vigilant, aware, sober, awake are English words in the bible translated form the same exact word (gregerio). we are to be aware cause we don't know exactly when it is going to happen. We are watching for the 6th seal opened and Rev 10:7, Rev 11:15 the 7th trumpet: concerning the gathering or rapture. Were watching for the signs in the stars, moon and sun. Maintaining sober mind , vigilant staying informed: aware and alert. When the sixth seal is opened everyone in the world will notice. It is an event in future prophecy which will be impossible to ignore. A catastrophe of such proportion mens hearts will fail and millions will die. Luke 21:25 ”And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken” This is another reference to the 6th seal. Not a pleasant scenario by any means. As a matter of conjecture, there will be a great falling away as pre-trib Christians will believe they have been left behind thinking they missed the rapture. 2 Thes. 2:3 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition” When the 6th seal is opened it will cause this great falling away and as it says; let no man deceive you. A true believer in Jesus Christ will not be left behind. He will never leave us or forsake us. Heb 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee:”
What is the Mystery?
Rev 10:7 “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.”
What is the this mystery you speak of? The Greek word (musterion). Exactly the same meaning as it is today. The Young’s analytical concordance defines it as “what is known only to the initiated” which exemplifies this fascinating topic so lets continue.
Mark 4:11 “And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:” Unto us?
Romans 11:25 “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.” Yes unto us and we should not be ignorant about it either. Hmmm! The fullness of the gentiles? we’ll get back to that.
Now the same word mystery is used in different contexts but all of the usages being used here are all in context and relating to each other. No more suspense! What is this mystery you speak of? Its not a secret! Its a mystery and one can only understand it if you receive the holy spirit then its given to you. The bible will tell us.
Ephesians 5:32 “This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”
Colossians 1:27 “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Wow there it is. Christ in you the hope of glory is the great mystery of the whole bible. The new birth like the apostles on the day of Pentecost receiving the holy spirit. In this context the word “mystery” in the bible always refers to the new birth in the body of Jesus Christ.
Col. 1:26 “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:” Thats why its a mystery but it was a secret until the Lord revealed it. It was hidden from the ages all generations and the prophets but why?
Romans 16:25 “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began. ”1 Peter 1:10 “Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you” The prophets of old searched for this mystery but it was hidden.
Colossians 4:3 “Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:”
1 Corinthians 2:8,9 “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” Had the devil known about the mystery “Christ In You” and the “body of Christ” he would never have crucified Jesus. Crucial mistake in strategy on the devil’s part. He just didn’t get the Intel because it was kept as a secret.
Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Not of the water baptism but of the holy spirit as Jesus speaks of in the gospels.
John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
1 Peter 1:23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” This is the mystery being Born-Again into the body of Christ and Rom 10:9,10 is a specific method in scripture on how to be Born-Again. Now you must ask what is the hope of glory? Fair enough! It fits right into the context of Rev. 10:7 First lets read context of the events of Rev 10:7 to what the Lord spoke of in the gospels.
Mark. 13 7 “And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains:”
Mark 13:22 “For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.” Who are the elect?
The Greek word for elect is (eklektos) an adjective. Strong's analytical concordance defines the word “elect” as: chosen by God as it is translated chosen 7 times in the new testament scripture. This word is a combination of 2 Greek words (ek) a preposition meaning out of and (eklegomai) a verb translated choose or choose out. The Greek word (ekklesia) a noun is the word translated church in new testament scripture also consisting of 2 Greek words. (ek) and (kaleo) meaning to call or name thus together have a literal meaning of - call out. In context the words church a noun and elect an adjective describing the church are referencing the same people. We believers in Jesus Christ are the called out chosen ones which the bible refers to as the church and elect of God. Now continuing in Mark 13:24,25
“But in those days after that tribulation, sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, 25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.” This occurs before the rapture - the 6th seal.
Rev 10:7 “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” What is being finished? Remember Romans 11:25 “…fullness of the Gentiles be come in…” The mystery of God is finished when the fullness of the gentiles comes in. This is where it gets interesting. You must be Born-Again that is established but there is a time when receiving the holy spirit like on the day of Pentecost will end. That time is Rev Ch. 10:7, Rev 11:15 the last trump when the mystery is finished and the body of Christ is fulfilled. This is the “hope of glory ”being raised from the dead or raptured in the last days when the grace administration is finished. There will be no more remission from sin by the blood of the lamb. It will be a continuation of the old testament prophecy, Israel and the Jewish people but this period we live in is beyond what most of us realize not fully understanding what we have in such a special gift the holy spirit in us. Not just upon us like the prophets of old or John the baptist but IN us adding of which the prophets of the old testament are also dead in Christ. They will be raised from the dead with the believers of this era which began on the day of Pentecost and ends in Rev 10:7, Rev 11:15 as we the body of Christ are raised from the dead or raptured into the heavens if we are alive at that time. This is the hope of glory. Its all right here in the bible and this mystery is now given unto you.
1 Timothy 3:9 “Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.”
Math. Ch. 13:33 “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.”
When the sixth seal is opened everyone is going to notice and we will know the time is very short and the coming of Jesus Christ is imminent.
Rev 10:7 “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” Hope to see you there.!
Revelations Chapter 12
Rev. 12:1 “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”
On September 23rd 2017 a rare celestial event took place. Four planets, the sun and moon aligned in the constellation Virgo with Jupiter in retrograde motion in the depiction of Virgo's womb for nine months as if in labor ready to give birth which matches the scripture noted above. Fascinating indeed to see this with our own eyes strengthening faith and our trust in God's written word. Many prophecy enthusiast, self-ordained watchmen and scholars marveled with great excitement heralding the end of days and the soon rapture of the church. The blood moons of 2016-17, the solar eclipse of Aug. 21st 2017 and the sign of Rev 12 inspired many proclaiming the rapture was near because of verse 5 of in chapter 12.
“And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” The reasoning behind the excitement in the heavenly sign being fulfilled is in verse 5 concerning the words “caught up” translated from the Greek word (harpazo). This word in the bible is used to describe the gathering of the saints or the rapture as the term used here for simplistic reasons. What no one seemed to notice or address about chapter 12 is the fact there are two wonders in heaven mentioned not just one. Rev12:3 “And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads”
The Rev 12 sign of September 23rd 2017 consist of many events. The only part fulfilled was verse 1 and 2. That was an easy one. Every so-called expert on this sign ignored versus 2,3,4 and focused only on verse 1 and 5. This was the crucial mistake leading to more confusion and creating credibility issues with the bible affecting believers in a not so edifying way.. Rev 12:1 was fulfilled but verse 3 was not.
Revelations chapter 12:2 gives us a very revealing clue as to the time of tribulation. “And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.” This verse is referring to the birth pains before the Great Tribulation which in the King James version is translated “beginning of sorrows” in Mathew 24. Most other versions of bibles translate the Greek words as birth pains. Matthew 24:8 (HNV) “But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.” Matthew 24:8 (ESV) “All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.” Matthew 24:8 (CJB) “All this is but the beginning of the `birth pains.” Now according to the record in Mathew 24 these birth pains are identified as the four horsemen of Revelations in chapter 6 and the event of Rev. 12:2.
Verse 3 and 4 of chapter 12 records another great sign in the heavens which obviously has not occurred yet. “And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.” The devil is cast down to earth and a third of the stars are dragged down with him. The only objects in space which have a descriptive attribute of a tail would be a comet. The stars fall to earth which seems to parallel the 6th seal of Revelation chapter 6. Now scripture states the saints will not suffer the wrath of Lucifer's 42 month rule concluding verse 5 must be referring to the rapture of the church after the 6th seal is opened. As the devil is cast down the church is raptured in chronology. “And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” The words “caught up” in this verse is the Greek word (harpazo). The same word used in context of other rapture versus. This (harpazo) occurs before the Devil and his angels are cast down to earth as stated in 6-9 with verse 6 revealing again the 42 months of “Great Tribulation” Rev. 12:6 “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Verse 11 is a clear indication verse 5 is referring to the rapture of the church because it is stated in the past tense as in chronological order having already happened in the context of the whole chapter. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” verse 10 identifies “they” as the brethren - the believers in Jesus Christ. This is verified in numerous scriptures. Col. 1:2 “To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Verse 13 is a metaphor concerning Israel as the woman which the body of Christ or the church was birthed as the first fruits of the church were Jewish people. Verse 14 is repeating the record of verse 6 identifying the period of the “Great Tribulation”. Rev 12:6 “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”Versus 14-17 are concerning the persecution of Israel and the people who come to believe in Jesus Christ after the rapture. May God have mercy on their souls but better late than never. Revelation chapter 12 is not a chronological record in context of the whole book of Revelations as to say it does not follow chapter 6-11 yet it encompasses all of them. This chapter is an overview account from Sept 23rd 2017 through the time of the rapture then summarizing the 42 month rule of Anti-Christ. How long will it be until the fulfillment of verses 3 and 4 remains to be seen and cannot be accurately foretasted as it could be months or many years. We just don't know.
The 7 Trumpets
Reviewing the previous chapters the chronology of events are stating to unfold. The tribulation period for the saints began in the 1st century and continues till this day. The “beginning of sorrows” begins when the 4 horsemen start to gallop into and through the earth. The first seal suggest a war; The remaining seals 2-4 are the judgments of God and identified as the four spirits of God in Zechariah chapter 6. The first 4 seals may already have been fulfilled when comparing it to current days on the planet saying the horseman are riding seem a fair conclusion. Noting the 5th seal has been opened with the ongoing persecution of the believers in Christ. The great wonder in heaven Rev 12:1 has also been fulfilled but not verse 3. This gives us a clear indicator where the present world is as concerning the last days.. The 6th seal has obviously not opened and when it does life on earth will change drastically. In an instant it will be the end of the world as we know it. We know the time of the Great Tribulation begins when the 6th seal is opened called the “wrath of the lamb”. Rev 6:16 “And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” Making a note this period is referred to as “wrath of the lamb” Chapter 7 of Revelations summarizes the 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel as they are sealed and basically miraculously protected from harm. This foretells of the people who come out of the Great Tribulation as it clearly states in scripture. They must be the believers in Jesus Christ having been raptured out.. Rev 7:14 “And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” This verse must refer to the saints of the rapture having occurred a foretelling of the events in Rev 10:7, 11:15 and 12:5 as chapter 7 is not a chronological record. The words “came out” in verse 14 are an accurate translation as it implies the saints were in the Great Tribulation and taken out of it. It doesn't say they were “taken out before” but “taken out of” because they were in it up to their eyeballs for sure. The 7th seal does not need much explanation starting in chapter 8. “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.” The 7th seal is opened and then a time out, so to speak, for half an hour. Apparently the 7 angels need 30 minutes to check out the trumpets tune their instruments and pucker up. With humor aside the 7th seal opened is a preparation for their purpose and must be before the rapture because of this written record. Rev 8:3 “ And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.” If the church was raptured at this point who is it offering prayers? The first 4 trumpets consist of a terrifying scenario. The first trumpet describe what could be a nuclear war or a meteor storm. The 2nd trumpet makes it clear a star falls from heaven which is a large meteor the size of a mountain. The 3rd trumpet could also describe a nuclear war or another large asteroid which breaks up into many pieces. We just don't know but these first 3 trumpets cause such a catastrophe on earth it affects the rotation of the planet knocking it off its axis. Rev 8: 12 “And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.” The fourth seal describes a scenario in which the earth is moved off axis and the rotation of the earth speeds up. Logically thinking if we lose a third part of the day and night this could only occur if the rotation of earth increased and its wobbling off axis. These events could be spread out over months or years but truthfully is written to suggest rapid fire events one directly after the other. Again, we just don't know for sure yet there seems to be a pause after the 4th trumpet blows in verse 12. The duration is not specified. Rev 8:13 “And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!” The 5th trumpet opens the key to the bottomless pit which looses the demons which have been imprisoned for thousands of years. A locust army with the king Apollyon or in modern terms Apollo which is a clear reference to one of the Greek gods of old. He is a demon of the highest order. The 6th trumpet is bizarre and hideous imagery sounding like a script right out of a science fiction movie thriller and is the subject of chapter 9 in versus 1-12. Rev 9:14 “Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them” This foretells of a great war beyond our worst nightmares and needs no further explanation. How long will this period be in the days of the first 6 trumpets? This can only be theorized but likely the events after the first 4 trumpets are also a rapid fire fulfillment. The duration of time is unclear but we know the days are shortened. This could not be more literal as the fourth trumpet states clearly we lose a third of the day and night. These are shortened days literally speaking of the prophecy Jesus gave us in the gospels of Mathew and Mark. Math 24:21 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elects sake those days shall be shortened.” Verse 21 clearly states the Great Tribulation is on going and God shortened the days for the elects sake. Chapter 10 of Revelations is a pause of chronology and sets the stage for the 7th trumpet in chapter 11. Chapter 10 is the written word declaring the administration of grace is over. No more remission of sin by the blood of the lamb after the 7th trumpet. God declares that the mystery is finished. In Rev 10:7 “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” The time of the gentiles is complete and the new birth is no longer available in the days of the last trump. How many days in the voice of the seventh angel? That is unclear. Before the record of the 7th trumpet chapter 11 speaks of measuring the temple and two witnesses. We are given two references of time in versus 3 and 4. Rev 11:2 “But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.” The fact it is mentioned before the 7th trumpet is blown is a clue to the chronology of events. Being mentioned before the 7th trumpet suggest their appearance and time occur prior to the last trump. This is a debatable conclusion but seems likely in a chronological context. In verse 2 the temple has been rebuilt and using the word “shall” is a pretense verb structure referring to the 42 months before the 7th trumpet. Interestingly the two witnesses time is referenced as 1260 days which is 42 biblical months. The question arises: are these two written records speaking of the time before the Anti-Christ 42 month rule? If it does then we have the duration of the Great Tribulation of 7 years? Do the two witnesses appear before the last trump? Following the chronology we have already covered the bottomless pit is opened with the 5th trumpet yet the 2 witnesses time is 1260 days. Either the time from the 5th trumpet to the 6th trumpet is 1260 days or the two witnesses appear before the 5th trumpet. The latter is a more reasonable conclusion and hints of the duration of time before the 42 months of Anti-Christ rule which is a proceeding 42 month period. But we must keep in mind the days were shortened when the 4th trumpet blows a day being only 16 hours long which makes nailing down time frames in chronology very difficult indeed. There are two clues as to the timing of chronology concerning the two witnesses. Rev 11:2 “But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles:...” This verse equates to the time of the Gentiles. Romans 11:25 “…fullness of the Gentiles be come in…” The mystery of God is finished when the fullness of the gentiles comes in covered in a previous chapter. Rev. 10:7. The other clue lies in verse 7 of Revelation Chapter 11. 7 “And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.” This record parallels the 5th trumpet. The two witnesses must appear before the 5th trumpet and when the angel of the bottomless pit is loosed he kills them. Thus we can conclude the two witnesses appear before the 5th trumpet blows which is before the 42 month rule of Anti-Christ. We can conclude a chronology and a time frame of the Great Tribulation as a 7 year period or thereabouts and before the 7th trumpet is blown 1260 days. Rev 7:3 “Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” Hypothesizing this verse includes the time of the two witnesses we have a duration of time 1260 days between the 6th seal opening and the last trumpet in Rev 11:15 Therefore; before the rapture the temple will be rebuilt and the two witnesses will appear.
The Last Trump
When the two witnesses are killed they are raised from the dead and ascend into the clouds just as Jesus did on the day of ascension and exactly what is described in I Thes 4:16 at the rapture date. “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Interesting to note that chapter 11 of Revelations mentions the two witnesses before mentioning the 7th trumpet. This cannot be a coincidence but a chronological order of events. As in chapter 7 of Revelations is an interlude and introduction the the 7 trumpets, chapter 11: 1-14 is an introduction to the last trumpet. In the chronology of Revelations and the Great Tribulation we are in the days of the 7th trumpet as recorded in Rev 10:7.
“But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” In the days of the voice of the seventh angel are the days of the two witnesses. What happens at the last trump? Lets review. 1 Corinthians 15:52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
1 Thessalonian 4:15 “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” These two versus are explicit references to the rapture stating very clearly it occurs at the last trump and with the trump of God. These versus are the same events referred to in Rev 10:7, 11:15 and Rev Rev 12:5 . In chapter 11 the two witnesses appear before the 7th trumpet and are raised from the dead in the days of the voice of the seventh angel and exactly parallels other rapture versus in scripture. The timing of the biblical record is obvious. The (trumpet, trumpets, trump) in Rev 4:1 are the same exact word which in the Greek is (salpigx). The same word in and I Cor 15:52, I Th 4:16, Rev 9:14, Rev 8:2,6,13, Rev 1:10 and Rev 10:7 all in context of the trumpet of God and Rev 11:5 when the 7th angels sounds. And its interesting too because this is when the 2 witnesses are raised from the dead and (harpazo) and taken into the air as described in I Th. 4:16. Math 24:31 is another reference to the rapture. Math 24:30 “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” Another reference of a trumpet further solidifying the time and chronology of the rapture in Revelations. When this scripture is fulfilled there will be a sign in the heavens signifying this event. This could be referring to the Revelation Chapter 12 signs which have not yet fully come to pass. Math 24:37 “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” Another reference to the rapture of the church noting it says we do not know the hour but says nothing of weeks, months or years. Rev chapter 5 Declares the saints are not raptured before the seals are opened. Rev. 5:8 8 “And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.” If we were raptured we would have no need to pray. All throughout the new testament scripture the gathering of the saints is always associated with a trumpet or the last trumpet.
1 Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
2 Thessalonian 2 “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,” It is very specific and clear in scripture the 7th trumpet of Rev. 10:7, 11:5 and 12:5 are the same event as in I Cor 15:52, and I Th 4:16. Amazingly this truth is vigorously refuted by pre-tribulation theorist. In scripture it is clear the intent and organization of the book of Revelations prepares us for this uncomfortable truth that the born-again believers in the church must suffer through the 7 seals and 6 trumpets.
Revelations chapter 12 is an overview summary of the Great Tribulation assuming as a starting point beginning at verse 3 being the same event as the 6th seal. Verse 5 of chapter 12 describes the child which some believe represents the church or body of Christ as being caught up. The time of the rapture of the church. In context this fits perfectly in the chronology of events because it happens before the Devil is cast down and his wrath begins. Rev 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”
Yea, he only has 42 months, a short time indeed. To confirm Rev 12:5 is the rapture of the church lets study Rev 12:13 “And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.” This is the same child referred to in Rev 12:5. At the rapture we are joined to the head as the body - Jesus Christ. Contending the body of Christ is the “man child”. The word “man” in this verse is the Greek word (arrēn) a noun from the root word (airō) which is a verb translated from the Greek to the English in the following manner: take up (32x), take away (25x), take (25x), away with (5x), lift up (4x), bear (3x). The word “child” is the Greek word (huios). Translated “son” 85 times in scripture and 49 times as the word “children”. Not once in the new testament scripture is this word translated child except in Rev chapter 12. The Strong's lexicon does not even reference this word translated as simply “child” anywhere but only as the word “children” - plural. This is most interesting having broken down the translations from the Greek we have a whole new perspective: a gem of profound truth giving us a definitive answer to who the man child represents. An accurate re-translation could be as such: “And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the (lifted up children).” or “the children lifted up” What a treat to find this buried treasure in God's written word and convincing enough to say the child in Rev chapter 12 is the body of Christ at the rapture.
The saints are mentioned in verse eleven in the past tense. We have overcome and are spared the Devils wrath and the impending 7 bowls of judgment. The rapture occurs before or possibly simultaneously as the devil is cast down to earth. The church is spared before the wrath which begins at the 7th trumpet as stated in Rev 11:18. “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”
We have concluded the mystery is Christ in you the hope of glory. The mystery is finished declared in Rev 10:7 in the days of the voice of the seventh angel when he begins to sound which is the same event mentioned in Rev 11:15 and Rev 12:5. With these points of reference we get a sequence of events and a time-line of duration with the record of the two witnesses a 1260 day period. The rapture of the church occurs at the last trump. The same 7th trumpet of revelations.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Mark. Ch. 13:33 “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” The word watch is from the Greek (gregerio) The Strong's definition is such: vigilant, aware, sober, awake are English words in the bible translated form the same exact word (gregerio) We are to be aware cause we have no exact idea when it is going to happen until the 6th seal is opened. From that point three and a half years before the rapture.
Mark. Ch. 13:34 “For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock-crowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
What a we watching for? 6th Seal Opened and Rev 10 the 7th trumpet: concerning the gathering or rapture. Not rumors of war or famine or economic collapse. We watching for the signs in the stars, moon and sun. Maintaining sober mind , vigilant to stay informed and be aware and alert, awake. When the sixth seal is opened everyone is going to notice and we will know the time is very short and the coming of Jesus Christ is imminent. He will be there waiting for us at the last trump when the mystery is finished which has been hid since the beginning of creation. The body of Christ and the fullness of the Gentiles comes in. Jesus Christ will be there waiting for us at the last trump.
1 Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Rev 10:7 “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” Again, Hope to see you there!
With evidence in scripture giving us clues about the Great Tribulation we can surmise its beginning when the 6th seal is opened. Having the time frame of the 2 witnesses as 1260 days and the time of the Anti-Christ 42 months we have an approximate 7 year period. The timing of the 2 witnesses being before or after the rapture is a highly debatable subject. If the 2 witnesses appear pre-rapture we will hear of them indeed. Also the rebuilding of the temple is also suggested pre-rapture during the time of the 2 witnesses giving us hope we can know the approximate time of the rapture when we see these events unfold. Very exciting indeed. We might not know the day or hour but we can surely know the signs of the time having an expectation of imminence. These 42 months are chronicled in Revelations chapters 13-20 ending with the literal return of Jesus Christ on the earth. Chapter 12 records the transition from the administration of grace we live in today to the 42 months of Anti-Christ rule. A terrifying record of the consequences man has brought upon himself and the bowl judgments of God upon the wicked. In the days of the voice of the seventh angel when he begins to sound the two witnesses are raptured into heaven. In Rev 11:15 we have the conclusion of the time of the gentiles. Rev 11:15 “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” Verse 7 of Revelations chapter 10 is fulfilled. Rev 10:7 “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” Chapter 12 is a starting point with a definitive star date of Sept 23rd 2017. Not the literal beginning of the Great Tribulation but maybe the final warning to man on earth that the end of days are upon us. Versus 3-5 have not been fulfilled but when they are we have a transition period to the time of Anti-Christ as he rises to power in a vain attempt to thwart Jesus Christ return. He knows his time is short. Rev 12:12 “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” The Devil is full of wrath and not happy about being kicked out of heaven. Impossible to understand his motives and why he doesn't just give up knowing he is going to fail but he's the Devil full of pride and has some grand scheme thinking he can overcome Jesus Christ and the word of God. Mind boggling indeed. So, he makes war with the woman. Who is this woman that brought forth the “man child”? The answer to that question lies at the beginning of scripture in Genesis.
Gen 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Many places in scripture “the woman” is a metaphor of Israel: the promised seed through which the Christ line came. Who did Israel give birth to? The obvious answer is Jesus Christ which includes born again believers are - the body of Christ, the lifted up children or the man child. The Devil in his rule will persecute Israel and people who come to believe in Jesus Christ after the rapture- better late than never. With all the signs and the trumpets some will realize after the rapture who the messiah is rejecting the false prophet and Anti-Christ. This could be referencing the 144,000 sealed in Rev chapter 5 but cant say conclusively. In the days of the voice of the seventh trumpet there are three woes. The first two woes occur before the seventh trumpet which is mentioned in chapter 11. This chapter is not chronological following chapter 10 but overlays with chapters 6-10 and into chapter 12 with a short summary of events into the millennial kingdom after chapter 20. Rev 11:14 “The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” What is the third woe? Rev 12:12 “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” There it is! The third woe is the Devil literally being cast down to earth after the rapture and the beginning of his 42 months of worldly rule. (NOTE: While your reading this book, now would be a good time to accept the Lord Jesus Christ before it's too late. Please refer to Rom 10:9,10.)
Chapter 13 details the Anti-Christ's beginning of ruler-ship. A time he has absolute power over all the world. He will force everyone to take his mark and demand worship or the consequence is execution.
Chapter 14 poses an interesting question concerning the 144,000 sealed in chapter 7. Rev 14:3 “And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb.” Are the 144,000 raptured with the church? Or, are the 144,000 the only believers left alive before the rapture. This question cannot be conclusively answered and we can only hope the latter is not the truth. But the reality is many people will die when the 6th seal is opened and when the first six trumpets blow. It will be a horrific nightmare and mens hearts will fail. Math 24:12 “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” This can mean until the end of our lives not the end of the world and here is why. The word “end” in verse 13 and 14 is from the Greek word (telos) The primary definition of this word and its usage in scripture according to the Strong's concordance: (termination, the limit at which a thing ceases to be, always of the end of some act or state, but not of the end of a period of time) A thing which ceases to be or terminated can only be in context speaking of our lives. The word “end” in Math 24:3
3 “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” This usage is from the Greek word (synteleia) defined by Strong's as: entire completion, i.e. consummation (of a dispensation):—end. In context plainly understood in the scripture. The word “end” in Mathew alone has four different Greek words translated to our one English word “end” This makes for a complicated understanding and having made the point the word “end” in verse 13 meaning - till the end of our lives. This is also why the letters to the seven churches at the beginning of Revelations are crucial in our understanding for believers before and after the rapture. To the letter of the church to Smyrna has a verse basically stating that some of us will die in the last days. A sad but evident reality. Rev 2:10 “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” Under any and all circumstances we can't deny our faith. Chapter 14 versus 1-5 are a foretelling of the millennial period and verse 6 continues a chronology of the 42 months and the declaration Babylon the city destroyed. also being an introduction to the wrath of God. . Chapter 15 declares the seven last plagues of judgment. Chapter 16 the vials are poured out. A gruesome record of consequence for the wicked. Chapter 17 reveals the interpretation of scripture concerning mystery Babylon and the great whore and is not a chronological record. Chapter 18 is a chronological following chapter 16. Chapter 19 is the prelude to the return of Jesus Christ and the marriage supper and the introduction to chapter 20 the chronological events after chapter 18. Chapter 20 the literal defeat of Satan and his army of the wicked including the people who are born-again of his seed of which will require a clarification and distinction. The seed of the serpent is anti-Christ spirit. ALL spirit is eternal. It cannot die. Just like you can be born-again of the holy spirit through believing Rom. 10:9,10, you can also be born-again of the devils seed. This would be referred to as "passing through the fire" in the occult rituals. This is also eternal and the ONLY sin Jesus can't forgive. This is true blasphemy and exactly what Jesus was saying in Matthew 12:31-32
"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him,
neither in this world, neither in the world to come." Receiving the UN-holy spirit by verbal confession to your allegiance to Lucifer as the true god is the unforgivable sin. It's eternal therefore Jesus can't forgive you for it. You will end up in the lake of fire along with the devil and his angels. This would leave a vast amount of people with neither the holy spirit or the UN-holy spirit. This refers to the religious people Jesus speaks of who claim to be Christian and think they are but were never born-again. Revelation 3:15,16
"I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. :16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth." Please don' be a person in either of those two categories.
Studying and accepting what the book of Revelations speaks of can be a stressful endeavor as it is not only a gruesome record of events but a highly debatable and contemptuous topic. One must keep in mind the purpose of the book itself as stated at the beginning. Rev 1:1a “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass;...”. The scripture as a whole is given to us so we may know Jesus Christ as he is the underlying subject of the entire bible. He is word of God in the flesh. John 1: 14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” God gave us the written word for our learning and to know him and his son. To reprove us when were wrong; correct us in our errors and for instruction. 2 Tim 2:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
The most basic lesson Jesus himself revealed is a man or woman must be Born-Again. Not a water baptism but of the holy spirit as on the day of Pentecost. John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 1 Peter 1:23 “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” This is the great mystery the old testament prophets searched for. 1 Peter 1:10 “Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you. “ The mystery “...Christ in you the hope of glory...” in Col 1:27. This is how we are given eternal life and transformed at the 7th trumpet. 1 Corinthians 15:52 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” On the day of Pentecost a new era began. The period of time people can receive the holy spirit which is referred to as “the grace administration” It can also be called “the time of the gentiles”. This period of time will end when the mystery is finished Rev 10:7 when the “fullness of the gentiles comes in”. “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” This is the time when the church is raptured after the dead in Christ are raised and people no longer can to attain this glory we are blessed with now. To understand the sequence of events prior to the rapture the heavenly sign of Revelations chapter 12:1 is a good place to start as it indicates the time of the “beginning of sorrows” is near. The first 5 seals opened are the next events in the last days and identified as “the beginning of sorrows” Comparably speaking they might be opened now especially if the seals represent the entire time line of the grace administration. When the 6th seal is opened we all will know the Great Tribulation has begun. This event has not occurred yet but when it does even the unbelievers will know their time is about up. It is a final warning to the world of the impending judgments and mans last chance for repentance. This event and others following are surreal and disregarded as fantasy by most people now but when they actually occur there will be millions of people doing their fox hole prayers and millions more dead having missed out on the last opportunity for salvation. Which is most appropriate as to why they are called the last days. Whether they get Born-Again at that time is up to God based on whats in their hearts. Rom 10: 9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” It must be noted here as a very urgent distinction. Confession unto salvation is not referring to the confession of sin but confessing Jesus as Lord and believing God raised him from the dead. Concerning the length of time from the 6th seal event and the last trumpet is a matter of conjecture. The two witnesses appear before the 7th trumpet and witness for 1260 days at the same time the temple is being rebuilt in Jerusalem. It is written the days will be shortened to 16 hours at the 4th trumpet. The two witnesses are raised from the dead then raptured into heaven fulfilling the prophecy of the “Last Trump” when the mystery is finished. So we have a possible time frame of approximately 3.5 years from the 6th seal opened until the 7th trumpet of Revelations. Then the 42 months of Anti-Christ until the literal return of Jesus Christ on earth beginning the millennial kingdom. Either way we will have a time frame when the temple is rebuilt and the two witnesses appear. The trumpet events described in chapters 8 and 9 are horrifying to say the least. The locust army at the 5th trumpet is an event practically no one believes could actually happen. With the modern age of genetic engineering and the fact of chimera science – human animal hybrids- being a practiced science in our present day the events of the 5th trumpet are no longer unrealistic. This event also gives a clue to the duration of time after it occurs. Rev 9:5 “And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man” A five month period of which we can only hope the trumpets are rapid fire events and this 5 month period carries over into the 42 months of Anti-Christ. But we have another clue as to the duration of time before the rapture in verse 15 when the 6th angel sounds. Rev 9:15 “And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.” Know we know there is at least a year and one month before the rapture. When this occurs one third of all men on the planet will die; a massacre of epic destruction. Realistically speaking at the time of the rapture very few believers will be left alive. This is the reality of what the word says and that is why we must endure till the end. Not the end of the Great Tribulation but unto the end of our lives. Not a popular conclusion by any means. Who wants to believe that? We have a definitive time frame now from the 6th seal opened until the 6th trumpet. Because after the 6th seal in chapter 6 the next chapter reveals “...after these things...” when the four angels begin to prepare. Rev 7:1 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.” From the time after the 6th seal until the time of the 6th trumpet is 13 months and 25 hours. That is a precise record indeed and because the “days are shortened” it is not a 3.5 year period. What we don't know is how long after the 6th seal until the time of the four angels are prepared“...after these things...” How long after is the only question. As believers in Jesus Christ we should not be afraid or worried. Just the opposite we should have a sense of certainty and comfort knowing what is taking place on the earth. We have the promise of eternal life and the most blessed gift of all - the holy spirit. Undoubtedly a living nightmare for unbelievers and to witness the destruction of God's creation sad for us as well. Yet Jesus is coming back and he will restore all things. Acts 3:20 “And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you. 21 Whom the heaven must contain until the time that all things be restored, which God had spoken by the mouth of all his holy Prophets since the world began.” (GNV) In a most sincere way hoping this study is a blessing to the reader and not a burden one final scripture to remember and keep diligently in our hearts. Rev 21:3-5 3 “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
